News and Notes From This Week's Bulletin - Sunday, October 28th

Nursing Home Services Today
We are conducting the weekly worship services at the Wellsville Manor and Highland Home today. If you can help with the singing and/or assisting the residents, then join us at the Manor at 1:30 pm and Highland at 2:15 pm. Hope to see you there.

Sauerkraut Dinner Tickets are now on sale at Hamilton Shoes, Richardson & Stout and the church office. Tickets are available for the 5:00pm & 6:30pm seating at a cost of $7.50 each. Take out tickets are also available at the same price, presale only.

Thrivent has decided to financially assist Peggy Stanford, (daughter of Carl & Arlene Leave) for medical bills and other expenses incurred as a result of unexpected complications from recent back surgery and loss of income from not being able to work. There is a jar in the lounge for donations. The last day to bring your donations is Sunday, November 11. Thank you.

Thrivent - It is election time again. All benefit members, age 16 and over should have received a ballot in the mail. This election is for the National Board of Directors. These ballots must be returned to Appleton, Wisconsin and postmarked by Nov. 30.

On Sunday, November 11, the local chapter elections will be held following church service during coffee hour. All members, benefit and associate member age 16 and over, should take advantage of this opportunity. Thrivent will supply the refreshments that Sunday.

If you can not attend church that weekend, please contact any of your congregational coordinators for a chance to vote.

News and Notes From This Week's Bulletin - October 21st

Candy Needed For Daycare Trick Or Treat Halloween Day & Trinity's Trick Or Treat Halloween Night. Trinity Lutheran Church will be holding a trick or treat night for the Main Street ghosts & goblins.

Please bring your donations of candy to the church office as soon as possible, thank you!

Youth Fund Raiser - The Youth Group is selling calendars to fund our retreat at Camp Pioneer, Oct. 26th - 28th. These are beautiful religious calendars, and we have a bonus, it comes with a small Church Calendar as well! If any one has already purchased a calendar come see Julie Shaver to get your mini church calendar. The cost for both together is $7.00 you can pay in cash or a check to Trinity Lutheran Youth Group. We will be selling them after each church service on Sunday's, and Pastor has some as well. Thanks for your Support!!! Julie Shaver and the Trinity Lutheran Youth!

News and Notes From This Week's Bulletin - October 7th

Sacred Acts - Baptism: This morning, Alexa Morgan Stuck and Lindsey Brooke Stuck, twin daughters of Eric and Ashley (nee Lupo) Stuck will become children of god through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. Their Godparents are Nick Lupo Jr. and Katie Flurschutz. We praise God for the seed of faith in Christ that He has planted in them through Baptism. We also pray that as they grow in years they will continually hear God's Word so that their faith in Christ will grow and that they remain steadfast in that faith.

Dedication: This morning we will also dedicate to the Lord the beautiful Portable Communion Set which was handmade by Fred Dannheim. This set will be used for the monthly Communion Service that our congregation conducts at the area nursing homes. We sincerely thank Fred for this wonderful gift.

Making Your Children Mind Without Losing Yours - There will be a six week seminar course, starting on Thursday, October 11, 2007 @ 7:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. How to Bring Out the Best in Kids by Doing What is Best for Them. Free Babysitting will be available. For more information, please contact Betty Wood, DCO at 593-2405.

Babysitter(s) Needed - I am in need of someone willing to donate about an hour on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8 beginning Oct. 11. This service is needed for the seminar mentioned above. Please contact Betty Wood as soon as possible. Thank you!

Everyone is urged to help with this year's Sauerkraut Supper in some way. Can you
  • Bake a pie?
  • Cut bread? - Cut cheese and pies?
  • Peel potatoes?
  • Work in the kitchen?
  • Serve in the fellowship hall during the dinner?- Help set up tables?

Please look for the sign up sheets in the church lounge and help in some way if you are able. Let's make this year's supper the best yet!
