UPC Labels are being collected from Campbell Soups, Pepperidge Farm, Franco-American, and Prego products. The daycare is spearheading this drive with assistance from some of the Dorcas ladies. The only part of the label needed is the little rectangular section marked with a barcode and titled “Labels for Education.” There is a box on the back table for leaving your labels. News and Notes for Sunday, October 11, 2009

Sacred Acts – Baptism: This morning God will declare Vincent James Joyce to be His beloved child through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. Vincent’s parents are James and Jennifer (Nee Scutt) Joyce. His Godparents are Michael McCormick and Maria McCormick. We rejoice that Vincent is a member of God’s Kingdom and we pray that as he grows in years he will continue to hear, read, and learn God’s Word so that, by the power of the Holy Spirit, he will endure in the faith that Jesus is God’s Son and his Savior from sin and death all the days of his life and obtain eternal life in heaven.

Hands And Harvest Craft Festival: The church table needs YOUR donations of any handcrafted items for sale. We will happily use knitted, crocheted, hand painted, sewn, embroidered, paper, wood, etc. in other words; we want anything hand-done. We also are looking for any home made jams, jellies, pickles, or home canned items. ANY items can be brought into the church office and given to Deb or Pastor. Please suggest a price for the items you donate. All money raised from the sale of items at the church table will be added to the money we give to Sheba for the care of the orphans. This is a wonderful stewardship of the talents God has given us! And PLEASE come out and support our efforts on October 24th. We have about 30 different vendors renting tables, so there should be something to interest everyone. Invite a friend! Come for lunch!
