News and Notes From This Week's Bulletin - January 25. 2009

Our Church Choir Needs Its Singers, old and new, as the choir is planning on singing every other Sunday through March 1. Carole A will return on March 8th, but the choir will be sounding forth and leading in song while she is having fun in the sun. Some new, easy-to-sing music is on the schedule. Rehearsals will continue 10:00-10:20 on Sunday mornings.

Ladies Aid and the Dorcas Guild will be offering the first fellowship dinner of The Brothers and Sisters In Christ Sesquicentennial celebration at Trinity Lutheran on Sunday, February 15th directly following the morning worship service. The cost is $7 each or $20 per family and reservations are required. There is a sign up on the sheet in the loung. These fellowship events will be sponsored by the various organizations within the church and will feature a short presentation on t heir history and function, but mostly we will be enjoying the long Lutheran tradition of good food and good friends. Hope to see you there!

Senior Citizens’ next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 5 at noon in the Dorcas Room. New members are welcome to join us. Committee members will be Arlene Leave, Dorothy Herke and June Helmer. Hope to see you there!

150 Years! As we begin this year long celebration of God’s blessings upon this congregation, we hope to have many opportunities to look back as well as look to the future. Perhaps you have already noticed the large bulletin board in the hallway down by the storeroom. We would like to share other memories on this bulletin board. If you have an idea and would like to work on putting together a “new” board, please contact Betty Wood as soon as possible. It would be nice to change the board about every 3 to 4 weeks. There will also be a sign up sheet on the table in the lounge.

Needed-Apartment For Rent: If you know of a small, reasonable, apartment in Wellsville that will allow pets, please contact Betty Wood. Thank you.
