News and Notes for Sunday May 8, 2011

Bible Stick Update: Five white Bible sticks were purchased to go directly to Jim Helms in Iraq. An additional $405.00 was sent to Faith Comes By Hearing for the purchase of the black Bible Sticks that will be distributed to chaplains in the armed forces for dispersal to the troops. Another donation of $50 was recently received and will be sent along. The original sample Bible Stick that was received from the organization will be in the church office and may be borrowed by congregational members. Please talk to Deb during office hours if you would like to borrow it.

The Flowers Today are given by the Ladies Aid to the Glory of God in Honor of all Ladies Aid Members and in memory of Marlene Bledsoe, Eleanor Cott, June Gensamer and Edna Lehman.
