News and Notes for Sunday December 9, 2012

Sacred Acts - Baptism: This morning Harper Elizabeth Joyce, daughter of James and Jennifer (Scutt) Joyce will be baptized with water and in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Her Godparents are Aaron and Meghan Peters. We praise God for His great gift to us of Holy Baptism for through it He has washed away Harper’s sins, planted the seed of faith in Jesus as her Savior, and has declared her to be His very own child whom He dearly loves. We pray that as she grows in years she will be brought up in the knowledge of the Lord and faithfully be in His House so that her faith will grow, she will remain steadfast in Christ, all the days of her life, and obtain eternal life.

Election & Budget Results – The proposed 2013 budget of $196,151 was passed which was an increase of $3,761 from 2012. Election Results: President: Carol English; Recording Secretary: Cathy Farwell; Financial Secretary: Kay McCulloch; Board of Properties: Dave Pinney; Board of Evangelism: Diane Vossler; Board of Christian Education: Rollie Duttweiler. 

The Annual Christmas Day Dinner for shut ins needs donations of turkeys and/or monetary donations to help defray the cost of the dinner. Monetary donations may be placed in the basket on the lounge table and turkeys may be brought to the church at any time. Questions? See Bruce Hand. Thank you.

Christmas Memorial Funds This Year will be designated for our 2013 Vacation Bible School. If you would like to make a donation in memory of a friend or loved one, please use a pink memorial form which is located on the table in the lounge. Please place it in the offering plate (with your memorial donation) or bring to the church office by Monday, December 17. Thank you!
